FOUR MEN ARRESTED FOR ILLEGAL GUN FOUND AT BUJU BANTON’S KINGSTON STUDIO!

Police have arrested four men after an illegal gun was found at a studio owned by incarcerated reggae/danchall star Buju Banton, last week, THE WEEKEND STAR has learnt.

The four persons, whose identities the police have declined to release, have been charged with illegal possession of firearm.

The Carlisle Avenue recording studio, situated in the middle-class neighbourhood of Whitehall Gardens, St Andrew, is being operated by Buju’s son, popular producer, Marcus Myrie.

Police said Myrie was questioned in relation to the weapon and released. Repeated calls to Myrie’s phone were not answered.
Head of the St Andrew North police, Superintendent Jacqueline Green, told THE WEEKEND STAR that the police went to the studio after receiving a tip.

“The police acting on information went to the premises. As it relates to the nature of the information, that I cannot say. Four persons were charged,” Supt Green revealed.
