Hanover most wanted was fingered in quadruple murder

The four killed were: 60-year-old Curtis Walters, his 34-year-old common law wife, Erica Leslie and their two children, 17-year-old Iana Walters and 14-year-old Curtina Walters.

Reputed leader of the Hanover-based One Voice Gang, 33-year-old Shenarda Leslie, who was killed during an alleged gunfight with the police Friday night, was fingered in the quadruple murder earlier this month of members of his own family.

On June 13 Leslie and some of his accomplices reportedly wiped out an entire family of four, during a gruesome gun attack at their Mount Carmel home in Hanover.

The four killed were: 60-year-old Curtis Walters, his 34-year-old common law wife, Erica Leslie and their two children, 17-year-old Iana Walters and 14-year-old Curtina Walters.

The police say the carnage was carried out sometime after Leslie made a report at the police station that her nephew, Shenarda, pointed a gun at her.

Leslie, who was one of Hanover’s most wanted men, was implicated in 15 murders in the last eight months.

Leslie, otherwise called ‘Blacks’, who was of Mount Pleasant district, Hanover, was reportedly among a group of men who fired shots at the Police during an operation in Green Island in the parish on Friday, June 23.

Police said the fire was returned and Leslie was fatally shot. One 9mm Smith and Wesson pistol with four 9mm cartridges was also seized.

Police high command said Leslie became the leader of the One Voice Gang, following the incarceration of Yasser James.

The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) is probing the shooting.
