Popular broadcaster Clive ‘Izahbing’ Allen has hung up his headphones at HITZ 92 FM after 10 years at the station.
His departure became effective on Monday, according to a news release issued by his publicist.
“I am not done with radio and certainly not with music, and while I’m grateful for the experiences and growth I received at HITZ, it is time to move on,” he said in a statement.
Izahbing announced his departure during his popular Night-time Bleachers programme on Sunday.
When contacted by Loop News, he only said: “tomorrow is my birthday, so I am enjoying it, I don’t wish to say anymore at this time.”
He however insisted there is no “bad blood” and animosity regarding his departure from the airwaves of local radio station. He joins a recent exodus of broadcasters from the RJR-Gleaner Communications Group.
Broadcasters such as Kurt Riley, Curvy Diva, Nikki Z, Sanjay and DJ Nicco have left sister station FAME, while DJ Raff has parted ways from HITZ FM.
