Man accused of stealing car beaten to death by angry Hanover mob 

The Hanover police are probing the murder of a man who was set upon and beaten by an angry mob after he was accused of stealing a motorcar in the parish Saturday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Levaughn Major of a Hanover address.

Reports are that about 7:20am some irate members of the Flower Hill community in Hanover formed a mob and stoned a man who they accused of stealing a motorcar in their community.

Upon the arrival of the police who were summoned, Major’s blood-soaked body was discovered, laying on his back, surrounded with stones, covered in blood.

He was taken to the Savanna-la-Mar Public General Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
