PAPA SAN’S “ONE BLOOD” TOPS BILLBOARD CHART!

GOSPElL deejay Papa San has topped the Billboard Reggae Album chart with his 16th studio effort, One Blood.

His sixth gospel album, it is distributed by Beloved/Infinity Music.

San’s previous album, 2012′s My Story, sold just under 5,000 copies in the United States.

Released on January 21, One Blood hears him collaborating with Stitchie, American gospel mainstay Fred Hammond, Israel Houghton, DJ Nicholas, Ryan Mark and Trinidadian Sherwin Gardner.

Papa San enjoyed a decorated career in secular music from the late 1980s to the late 1990s. Among his many hits were Maddy Maddy Cry, Strange, Style and Fashion, I Will Survive and Round Table Talk (featuring Lady G).

He had number one songs on the Billboard Dance Music Club Play chart in the mid 1990s with The Program (featuring David Morales and Stanryck, and Gimme Luv (Eenie Meeny Miny Mo) done with David Morales and the Bad Yard Club.
