Police recapture one of five Ocho Rios lock-up escapees 

One of the five inmates who escaped Friday morning from the Ocho Rios lock-up in St. Ann has been recaptured.

The escapee, 48-year-old Gary Ferguson, was recaptured sometime after 1 pm in Content in Ocho Rios in the parish.

He was charged with unlawful possession of property and rape, when he escaped.

The police say that additional charges will be laid against him in relation to his escape from custody.

In the meantime, four escapees remain on the run.

They are: 28-year-old David Anderson, in custody for rape; 24-year-old Renardo Williams, in custody for illegal possession of firearm; 22-year-old Nicholas Massop, of Pineapple in Ocho Rios, in custody for the murder of Leslie Burgher, committed in February of this year; and 61-year-old Leroy Laud, in custody for illegal possession of firearm.

The inmates were discovered missing at 4 am.

The inmates escaped after they pried open metal bars at the top section of their cells.
