St James wanted man turns himself in

ONE of St James’ most wanted men turned himself in to the police on Saturday.

Twenty-seven-year-old Kirk Stevens, otherwise called “Wanka” or “Shattam”, a music producer of Flanker or Guango Cresent, both in St James, was charged with two counts of murder and one count of wounding with intent when he presented himself to the police, accompanied by his attorney.

His court date is to be announced at a later date.

To date, two men from the St James ‘Most Wanted’ list, which was published by the JCF in January, have surrendered peacefully and are in safe custody.

The security forces are encouraging people identified as wanted, as well as relatives or friends who may know of their whereabouts, to contact the nearest police station, Crime Stop at 311, 811, the Stay Alert app, or have a pastor or a justice of the peace accompany them to the nearest police station.
