UPDATE: Cops theorise that 11-y-o girl’s murder linked to don’s killing

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Police are theorising that last night’s murder of an 11-year-old girl in Central Kingston was a reprisal for the shooting death of alleged don, Nicholas Malcolm, in the community.

According to reports, police were processing the scene where Malcolm and a 12-year-old boy had been shot on Wildman Street about 10: 04 pm, when they were summoned to a second shooting on the nearby Fleet Street about 10:30pm.

The responding officers said they found 11-year-old Taysha Hughes, also called Angel, along with four men suffering from gunshot wounds.

Taysha attended the Holy Family Primary School.

One of the men, identified as 26-year-old Richard Allen otherwise called ‘Finey’, was wearing a mask, the police said.

Reports are that the girl was reportedly among three men standing on Fleet Street, when they were attacked by masked gunmen.

The police speculate that Allen was one of the attackers and was shot by his cronies.

The injured parties were taken to hospital where Allen and Taysha were pronounced dead and the others admitted for treatment. The 12-year-old boy from the earlier incident also remains in hospital.
