UPDATE: St. Thomas Roads Reopened To Vehicular Traffic

Roads affected by recent rains in St. Thomas have now been reopened to vehicular traffic.

According to Stephen Shaw, Communications Manager at the National Works Agency (NWA), vehicular access has been regained on the Windsor Forest to Cedar Valley main road, Font Hill and Mount Vernon roads.

In the eastern section of the parish, he said flood waters have begun to recede thus making it possible for vehicles to access the road from Golden Grove, through Amity and Hector’s River.

The National Works Agency (NWA) is reporting that while the roads have been reopened, motorists must take care while travelling in the areas as there is still a risk for landslides and rock falls.
