ST THOMAS, Jamaica:
Resident Magistrate Jannef Anderson today fined dancehall entertainer Sizzla, born Miguel Collins, $1000 after the artist appeared in the Yallahs Resident Magistrates’ Court to answer charges of use of indecent language.

The artist, who pleaded guilty to the charges, was performing at a nightclub in South Haven earlier in the year when police turned off the sound system, as it was being played after the hours stipulated in the promoter’s permit.

Sizzla turned the music on again and continued his set.

The police subsequently seized the equipment, after which the artist abused them with indecent language.

Sizzla was served a summons to appear in court when he turned up at the Yallahs Police Station to retrieve the sound equipment.’
