Christmas is fast approaching and it seems that Jamaicans will have even more to celebrate this season as the date has been set for the highly anticipated premiere of the movie, Jamaican Mafia.

According to the film’s executive producer, Orville Matherson, there will be two premieres, one in Kingston on December 4 and the other in Montego Bay on December 7. The Kingston premiere is set to take place at the Carib Theatre in Cross Roads. It will be a one-timescreening.

In addition to the island debut, the producers of the film are planning to host a second edition of their Exclusive Party series close to the premiere, where, like in August, guests will get the opportunity to meet and greet with the film’s cast and crew. However, an official date for that party has not yet been set. Even before the film officially opens on the silver screen, media will get a first-hand look at the film at a private screening set for Tuesday, November 11, at the Triple Century Sports Bar on Knutsford Boulevard, New Kingston, starting at 7 p.m.

The film features some of Jamaica’s finest talent, including veteran actor Paul Campbell and dancehall artiste Michelle ‘D Angel’ Downer. The storyline chronicles the life of Zoolian Anderson (played by actor Mykal Fax) as he moves from an ordinary life as a regular citizen to one as a criminal poised to take over a dangerous family business led by his uncle (Campbell). It has been showing in several locations in the United States since it first premiered in September after an unfortunate series of delays in late August.
