KINGSTON, Jamaica — Three months after its release, singer Sanchez’s ‘Him Buy You a Drink’ is doing well in parts of Europe and the Dutch Caribbean territory of St Maarten.
‘Him Buy You a Drink’ is produced by Sanchez for his Sanmonik Records and is the first release for Delaware-based New Millionaire Entertainment.
It is the lead single from his album, The General, which is planned for release by that company in February.
In St Maarten, ‘Him Buy You a Drink’ topped the SOS95.9 FM Top Ten Chart Countdown. In the UK, the song is number 12 on DJ Natty Official Reggae Chart and in Italy, it is number six on TPN Radio & Caribbean Vibes’ DJ Gusma Top 20 Singles Chart.
Sanchez first made Jamaican charts in 1988 with a cover of Jermaine Jackson’s Loneliness. He was one of dancehall’s leading hit makers in the 1990s with songs like ‘End of The World’ and ‘I Can’t Wait’.
