An American tourist died while undergoing treatment at hospital for injuries he sustained during a motor vehicle accident in Hanover on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as 40- year- old Gilbert Jones of 4409 West Clifton Street, Florida, USA.
Reports are that about 4:30 pm, a passenger bus with tourists stopped to purchase fruits from a vendor on the side of the Johnson Town, Lucea main road.
Gilbert sustained injuries after the driver of a grey Toyota Picnic, heading towards Lucea, reportedly got out of control and slammed into the left side of the bus where he was standing. He was rush to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he died at about 7:30 pm, while undergoing treatment.
The female driver of the Toyota Picnic was subsequently taken into custody for questioning by the Lucea police.
