Buju Banton’s daughter to represent the JLP 

A daughter of incarcerated dancehall artiste, Buju Banton, is set to represent the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) in the Local Government Elections that are set to be contested later this month.

Buju’s real name is Mark Myrie.

Jody-Ann Myrie, a graduate with marketing credentials from the University of Technology (UTech), is to represent the JLP in the Hagley Park Division of the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Council (KSAC).

The Hagley Park Division falls within the St Andrew West Central constituency of Prime Minister Andrew Holness.

The Local Government Elections are scheduled for November 28, with Nomination Day slated for Friday, November 11.
