A policeman and a soldier were shot and injured by gunmen during an operation in the Corporate Area on Tuesday evening.
Reports are that about 6pm, a joint police/military team responded to shots being fired at Barnes Avenue in lower St Andrew and on their arrival, the body of a male was seen lying on the ground in a pool of blood.
While at that scene, shots were heard on the nearby Crescent Road and the law enforcers responded.
On their arrival at the second location, the security team came under gunfire and returned the fire.
At the end of the exchange of gunfire, a policeman was shot and injured to a leg, and a soldier was also injured from gunfire.
