The Morant Bay police are probing the shooting death of two men along the Easington main road in St Thomas on Thursday.
The deceased have been identified as 43-year-old Marlon Simms, a livestock farmer of Grove Place in Albion, St Thomas and a man known only as ‘Piper.’
Reports are that about 10pm, Simms and Piper were along the roadway when they were ambushed by armed men who opened gunfire at them.
The men then made their escape in a waiting motorcar.
The police were alerted and the wounded men taken to hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
Investigators have not released a motive for the gun attack.
