Two persons were killed in a drive-by shooting in a section of Tivoli Gardens, west Kingston called ‘Java’ on Wednesday night. A third person was reportedly injured as well.
Reports are that about 7:50pm, a number of people were hanging out on Levy Parkway when gunmen sped through the area in a car and randomly opened fire, hitting multiple persons.
One of the dead men has been identified as 40 year-old Charles Williams, a higgler of a ‘Java’ address, and the deceased is still unidentified.
Sources say the double murder is a reprisal for the murder of a man who is reportedly the son of a high-ranking lieutenant of a clique of men who were loyal to the late Tivoli Gardens don, Lester Lloyd Coke popularly known as ‘Jim Brown’.
