Florida gunman posted disturbing videos online

The gunman who killed two women and shot five others at a yoga studio in the state of Florida, in the United States (US) previously posted misogynistic and racist videos online, media reports in the US have revealed.

Scott Paul Beierle, 40, was also accused of harassing women and grabbing their buttocks, police officials have revealed.

Nancy Van Vessem, 61, and Maura Binkley, 21, were killed after Beierle opened fire inside the yoga studio, located in Tallahassee, on Friday.

He later killed himself.

Authorities say Beierle and the two women all had ties to Florida State University, but investigators are still trying to establish whether he had any links to the women.

The videos, which were obtained by the American media outlet BuzzFeed News, show Beierle calling women “sluts” and “whores” and hitting out at female he said had “betrayed their blood” by dating people of other races.

In one video, according to the news outlet, he appeared to show sympathy for Elliot Rodger, the man who killed six people in Isla Vista, California in 2014.

It was also revealed that Beierle, who served in the military, uploaded a video in which he said he wanted to “blow off” a woman’s head.
