Four, including woman, held amid ‘biggest ganja bust ever’ in Jamaica

Four persons – three men and a woman – were arrested in connection with what has been labelled as the biggest ganja bust in Jamaica’s history.

Approximately 8,700 pounds of compressed ganja with an estimated street value of $35 million was seized during searches at two premises in Spur Tree, Manchester on Monday, May 4.

Reports are that about 8.45 pm, members of the Narcotics and Manchester police divisions carried out the co-ordinated operations.

A motor vehicle was also seized during the operations.

The identities of the persons who have been taken into custody are being withheld, pending further investigation by the police.
