A police service vehicle was shot up by criminals in St Catherine on Wednesday night.
The incident happened about 10:00. p.m. while a police party was on patrol along the Spanish Town bypass.
Reports from the Corporate Communication Unit of the Jamaica Constabulary Force are that the lawmen were trying to intercept a vehicle when the occupants opened fire. The report states that the fire was returned. It is unclear if any hoodlum was hit.
One man is now in custody following the incident.
