A firearm and four rounds of ammunition were seized during a
targeted police raid along Red Hills Road in St Andrew on Friday,
April 15.
Reports are that about 5:30 am, law enforcers were in search of a man who
is wanted for various crimes in the area.
Upon entering a room of a premises, two men reportedly opened fire at the
police, who took evasive action and returned the fire.
After the gunfire subsided, a man was found with a Hi-Point .40 Smith and
Wesson pistol, along with four .40 rounds of ammunition.
The man was taken into custody.
His identity is being withheld, pending further investigations.
