Controversial dancehall artiste Gully Bop will answer a charge of assault occasioning bodily harm in the St Thomas Parish Court on June 27.
The artiste, whose real name is Robert Malcolm, was last Friday arrested in the parish on assault charges following allegations that he slapped a girl in her face during a dispute.
Gully Bop was arrested after the female complainant made a report at the Morant Bay Police Station that he hit her in her face during an argument at Nuts River . The alleged assault reportedly caused the female swelling and pain.
The entertainer was granted $40,000 bail.
