JLP to celebrate 71st anniversary, re-launch website

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) will on Tuesday, July 8, start celebrations of the party’s 71st anniversary with a re-launch of its website and mobile App.

JLP leader Andrew Holness, along with chairman, Senator Robert Montague and general secretary Dr Horace Chang, will host a press conference at the party’s Belmont Road headquarters in Kingston Tuesday to give details of the celebrations, the JLP said in a release Sunday.

The JLP was founded by National Hero Alexander Bustamante on July 8, 1943 as the political wing of the Bustamante Industrial Trade Union BITU).
