Why? Because of transparency and the group effort she preferred. The one-time banker went on to add that when groups of people get together and coordinate their philanthropic contributions, as occurs during a well-executed corporate giving campaign, tremendous and lasting good can be done for the community.
And social media offers both transparency and the ability to co-ordinate the charitable effort.
