Even as Hurricane Dorian continues to batter some of the islands of The Bahamas, the National Hurricane Centre is warning that another Hurricane is on the horizon.
Tropical Storm Juliette is expected to become a hurricane later today.
The agency said that at 900 AM MDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Juliette was located near latitude 16.7 North, longitude 112.6 West, 745 km South Southwest of the southern tip of Baja, California.
Juliette is moving toward the northwest near 14 mph (22 km/h). A west- northwestward motion with some decrease in forward speed is forecast for the next several days.
Maximum sustained winds are near 70 mph (110 km/h) with higher gusts.
Strengthening is anticipated, and Juliette is forecast to become a hurricane later today, with further strengthening anticipated on Tuesday.
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 150 miles (240 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 994 mb (29.36 inches).
There are no coastal warnings or watches in effect currently.
