Police identify men found dead in cave 

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — The police have identified the three men who were today found dead in a cave in the Salt Pond area of St Catherine.

They are: 48-year-old fisherman, Richard King, 31-year-old farmer, Alfred Succan, and 36-year-old farmer, McGray Sergeon. They are all of a Dunbeholden address in St Catherine.

The police say their bodies were retrieved about 4:00 pm during an operation by cops in the St Catherine South Division with the assistance of the Waterford Fire Department and residents of the Salt Pond community.

Reports are that about 10:00 am Monday, four men were extracting water from the cave to a nearby farm when they got into difficulties.

One of the men managed to escape and was taken to hospital where he is being treated.

The police were then reportedly alerted and a rescue operation launched.
