One woman was shot dead and two other females, including a teenager, injured in a gun attack in Maverley, St Andrew on Sunday night.
The dead woman has been identified as 28-year-old Patricia Facey of 13 Denver Crescent in the community.
A 15-year-old girl and a 58-year-old woman were the other persons injured in the attack.
Police reports are that about 9:30 pm, the females were sitting in their neighbourhood when men armed with high-powered weapons drove up in a white Nissan Tiida and opened fire hitting them.
They were taken to hospital where Facey was pronounced dead.
The incident has left residents in the community in shock.
