Three women arrested and charged after cocaine seizure

MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica – Following the seizure of six pounds (app three kilogrammes) of cocaine by police personnel attached to the Transnational Crimes and

Narcotics Division (TCND) at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, St. James on Friday, August 15, three women have been arrested and charged.

Forty-two-year-old Michelle Pearson arrived at the airport to board an American Airlines flight to Miami while, 40-year-old Tricia Cunningham Fray and 40-year-old Erica Wilson were set to board flights to New York when they were searched and the cocaine with an estimated street value of JMD 3.6 million was found.

All three are scheduled to appear in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, August 21 to answer to charges of Possession of and dealing in cocaine and, attempting to export cocaine.
