Three women held with cocaine at Norman Manley airport 

Three women are now behind bars after cops from the Narcotics division arrested them in relation to the seizure of approximately seven pounds of cocaine at the Norman Manley International Airport on Thursday, December 19.

Police report that the women checked in to board a flight destined for Atlanta, Georgia when a Police canine alerted its handler to two suitcases.

The suitcases were traced to the three females and they, along with the luggage were searched. The cocaine, which has an estimated street value of J$4.25 million, was found concealed in the suitcases.

The women were subsequently arrested.

Their identities are being withheld pending formal interviews in the presence of their lawyers.
