A man was fatally shot just minutes after he reportedly killed another man in downtown Kingston and was trying to escape but ended up being cut down in a shootout with a team of police officers.
Reports are that a group of men were travilling in a blue Toyota Vitz motor car carried out a hit on Orange Street, Kingston.
After the deadly attack, the men were reportedly trying to leave the scene when they were confronted by police officers and a shootout ensued. One policeman was injured during the confrontation.
Information reaching Loop News is that the men drove from that location in an attempt to escape but were chased by law enforcement officers.
The men ended up crashing into a wall at a section of Slipe Road. Usually reliable sources told Loop News that at least two of the occupants of the car had to be cut from the vehicle.
They were rushed to hospital where one of the men succumbed to his injuries and another was admitted. A search is now on for the other male who managed to escape.
