Incarcerated dancehall star, Vybz Kartel, was photographed emerging from a medical facility on Wednesday, fuelling speculation that the ‘Any Weather’ deejay was once again ill.
On Wednesday, a video and several photos emerged online showing the artiste handcuffed and clad in white pants, white T-shirt and a white towel covering his head to obscure his identity. However it appears that the occasion may have been a fairly routine these days.
“It was just a regular visit ’cause he is back in,” a source told Loop News.
The deejay’s attorneys have previously revealed that he has a medical problem with his thyroid. It is not immediately clear if that illness was related to his visit to the hospital on Wednesday.
On Wednesday night, Kartel’s defence attorney, Valerie Neita-Robertson, said she knew nothing of the latest medical visit, but added that the “authorities regularly take him out of prison to get medical treatment“.
The attorney added that the trips are because “he is under ongoing medical care”.
