ST JAMES, Jamaica — The St James police are asking the assistance of the public in identifying the body of a woman which was found in a shallow grave in a section of Salt Spring in the parish Thursday morning.
Reports are that residents became curious after smelling a foul odour coming from a section of the community on Wednesday.
The police, who were summoned this morning, went to the area where they found the partially decomposing body of the woman. The body was clad in a blue blouse and burgundy shorts with the name “Kawanna” tattooed on her right upper arm.
The body was removed to the morgue.
The police are asking anyone with information to call 119, the Freeport Police Station at 953-/6191, the Montego Hills Police Station or the nearest police station.
