Youth pleads guilty to killing Luciano’s son

One of the three teenagers charged with killing the son of reggae icon Luciano has pleaded guilty.

Nashlyn Anderson, 19, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the Home Circuit Court in downtown Kingston on March 3.

Anderson is scheduled to be sentenced on April 27.

His conviction comes just over a year after 19-year-old Menelik McClymont was stabbed to death at Parkington Plaza, in St Andrew.

The other two teens accused of the killing, Camanie Shaw and Jerome Coombs, pleaded not guilty and are scheduled to go on trial May 4.

According to prosecutors, Anderson used a knife to stab Menelik McClymont during an altercation last February.

Following his son’s death, Luciano, whose name is Jepther McClymout, posted an emotional plea on social media urging the public to help the police find the person responsible.
