Teen killed, 4-y-o and two others injured in Clarendon house invasion

A 14-year-old boy was shot dead and three other persons including a 4-year-old child injured following a brazen early morning attack by criminals in Clarendon on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Javaughn Smith.

Reports are that at about 2:30 am, men armed with guns went to premises in Juno Crescent in the parish capital, May Pen, where they kicked open the door to a house and opened fire.

Four persons were shot during the attack. The criminals then fled from the area.

Police were called to the community and the victims rushed to hospital where Smith succumbed to his injuries.

The other injured persons have since been admitted in the hospital.

Police, who are maintaining a presence in the area, said they have not yet established a motive for the attack.
