Bodies found in St Thomas believed to be of soldier, hubby and child

The police say they are waiting on forensic evidence to determine the identity of three persons whose bodies were found in Pear Tree district in St Thomas on Saturday afternoon.

But as investigators focus on establishing the identities of the remains, there is fear in the parish that the bodies are of soldier Lexton Clayton, her boyfriend, Kymani Taylor, and their two-year-old son Tyler.

Reports are that on Saturday, June 6 at about 3.30 pm, a brown Nissan Latio motorcar was found abandoned in the Pear Tree River community along the roadway between Pear Tree River and Bowden.

Further reports are that the badly burnt bodies of three persons were later found in bushes in the community.

Indications are that a few days before, the motorcar was rented to Taylor, who is said to have been a security guard at the Portland Municipal Corporation and of a Portland address.

Reports are that the rental arrangement was for a period of two days.

Following the discovery of the vehicle, speculations have been high that the three bodies are of the three members of the family.

Resident of the Pear Tree River community claimed that Taylor and Clayton were having relationship issues for some time recently.

The police, when contacted, said they are awaiting forensic information to determine if the residents’ perspectives are correct.
