HEATED ARGUMENT: What neighbour heard before pastor, wife were killed

Hours before the bodies of the two people were found with stab wounds in their house in Christian Gardens, Portmore, neighbors reportedly heard members of the household arguing but decided to ignore as they felt it was not an issue that needed their immediate attention.

Sources from the community said residents would however wake up in shock the following day when they heard that Cecil Ramsay, a minister of religion and his wife Phyllis, a school principal, were killed.

“People in the community heard them arguing but did not intervene as it was not unusual for members of any family to argue,” one resident, who asked not to be named, told Loop News.

Reports are that at about 4 am on Friday, residents found a motor vehicle belonging to one of the Ramsays abandoned on the side of the road.

Checks were made and bloodstain was reportedly found in the motor car.

The police were called and following further investigation, they went to the house of the couple where their bodies were found with several stab wounds.

A man said to be the son of the couple has since been taken into custody. The incident has triggered anger and shock in Christian Gardens.
