LAST MAN (OUT)STANDING: One Hunts Bay escapee still at large 

The police are still seeking the public’s assistance to recapture one of the eight prisoners who escaped from the Hunts Bay Police Station lock-up in St Andrew last Sunday, April 19.

He is 31-year-old Michael Ellis of Ramsey Road, Kingston 13 and New Green district in Manchester, who is charged with illegal possession of firearm, illegal possession of ammunition and robbery.

Of the eight escapees, 24-year-old Leroy Burrell, otherwise called ‘Calibre’, ‘Thick Man’ or ‘Baby King’, of Majesty Gardens in St Andrew, was shot dead during a confrontation with the police.

Five of the escapees have turned themselves in over the past week, while 23-year-old Kenouir Holness, otherwise called ‘Oliver’ or ‘Grimmy’, of Waltham Park Road, Kingston 11, was recaptured in Delacree Park, St Andrew on Friday April 24.

The police are urging Ellis to turn himself in, and are reminding family members, residents and associates of wanted persons that it is an offence to harbour such individuals.
