Pfizer vaccines arrive in Jamaica from the US
The United States Government on Wednesday donated the second tranche of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines to Jamaica.
In a release, the United States Embassy said the second of three shipments consists of 204,750 vaccines, bringing the US Government’s donation to date to 413,010.
Since the start of this global crisis, the US Embassy said it has taken a strong mission-wide approach, contributing more than J$1 billion in support of Jamaica’s fight against the coronavirus.
The embassy said, through the donation of vaccines, two field hospitals, medical supplies, motor vehicles, and other essential equipment, it continues to work with partners in Jamaica to ensure “we all come out of this stronger”.
