KINGSTON, Jamaica – An American Airline has just arrived at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston with the body of the late Agriculture Minister Roger Clarke.
Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller and Cabinet members are now at the VIP lounge at the Airport to receive Clarke’s body from Florida.
A tearful Simpson Miller was joined by former Prime Minister P J Patterson and Clarke’s wife Sonia.
Daryl Vaz from the Jamaica Labour Party is among the group.
Clarke’s body will lie in state at the People’s National Party (PNP) headquarters in Kingston on Thursday, September 11.
He is to be accorded an official funeral on Saturday, September 13 at the St George’s Anglican Church in Savanna-la-mar, Westmoreland starting at 10.30 am.
His body will be buried in his hometown in Glen Islay, Williamsfield, Westmoreland.
