St Thomas Police Probe Discovery Of Human Remains In Coffin

The St Thomas Police are probing this morning’s discovery of human sketal remains in a coffin inside a building which was being demolished.

The demolition process has since been halted as the investigation widens.

According to reports, some time after 9 o’clock this morning , a team from the St Thomas Municipal Corporation began an exercise to demolish old structures in the town of Morant Bay.

During the demolition of an old Lodge building across from the Morant Bay Police Station, the work crew stumbled on a coffin and later observed the human skeletal remains.

The police were alerted.

When contacted, Head of the St. Thomas Police Division Superintendent Alison Byfield told Radio Jamaica that she was unable to provide details as she is still gathering information.
