Tosh’s famous M16 guitar and his beloved unicycle that became one of his favorite means of transportation, are two of the artifacts that are expected to draw significant attention.
Fans will also be able to see some Tosh artifacts that have never been displayed publicly before and will get the opportunity to purchase exclusive merchandise at the museum.
Peter Tosh (born Winston Hubert McIntosh), Along with Bob Marley and Bunny Wailer, was one of the core founders of the world-famous reggae band The Wailers.
He later established himself as a successful solo artist and a promoter of Rastafari.
Known as a non-conformist, Tosh is recognized as one who campaigned for the abolition of apartheid in South Africa and for legalization of Marijuana.
This year’s opening of the Peter Tosh Museum is seen as symbolic as and it comes on the 40th anniversary of the release of the classic and prophetic hit single, Legalize It.
