Three of four deceased persons in Trelawny crash identified

The Trelawny police have identified three of the four persons who died from injuries they sustained in a collision between a motorcar and an Island Route tour bus along the Hague main road in Trelawny on Sunday morning.

The police have given the identities of the deceased as Omroy Russell; 23-year-old Dayton McLeary; and 22-year-old Everton James, with one male victim still to be identified.

The three deceased who have so far been identified are all of Portland addresses.

A female who was a passenger in the car, and the driver of the bus, have both been admitted in hospital for medical treatment.

Reports are that the four persons now deceased, and the now injured woman, were travelling in a Nissan March motorcar.

Indications are that shortly after 10am, the motorcar was heading towards Montego Bay when the driver overtook a line of traffic and collided with the bus which was being driven in the opposite direction.

The five occupants of the car and the bus driver sustained injuries.

The group in the car was said to be heading to the Sangster International Airport (SIA) in Montego Bay, St James.

The Falmouth police are probing the crash.
