Two of four Trelawny escapees recaptured

TRELAWNY, Jamaica — The police are reporting that two of the four prisoners who escaped from the Falmouth Police Lock-up in Trelawny on Wednesday are back in custody.

They are 22-year-old Travaun Lawson, otherwise called ‘Tall Man’, of Rose Mount, St James and 39-year-old Adrian Stewart of Dumfries also in the parish.

Reports are that between the hours of 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm, an operation was conducted in the Dumfries community where Stewart was recaptured while Lawson turned himself in accompanied by his lawyer.

Twenty-four-year-old Mario Morrison of Bamboo district, Hanover and 31-year-old Oneil Demetrius, otherwise called ‘Boy Boy’, of Lowe River, Wait-A-Bit, Trelawny, who are both wanted for murder, remain on the run.

The police are once again urging them to turn themselves in and are reminding family members and residents that it is an offence to harbour a criminal.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Mario Morrison and Oneil Demetrius is being asked to contact the Falmouth police at 954-3703, Crime Stop at 311, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
