Eyewitness insists cops involved in taxi shooting 

A witness is now adamant that police officers shot up a taxi Thursday, injuring a teen girl from the Alpha high school, and not gunmen as cops are claiming.

“I was there when the incident a unfold. Me talk to even the driver who say the group of men travelling in a vehicle bad drive him and the men from the two vehicle got into an argument,” the man told Loop News.

“The driver later told me that the men in the vehicle drove him down and say how you a try bad up police so,” he added.

He claimed that shortly after the incident, a team of men wearing police uniform went to the scene and picked up spent shells.

“Me see them with me two eyes a pick up the spent shell and as I was about to take a picture [when] my phone went dead,” the man claimed.

The female student who was shot in the head as the taxi was chased along North Street and other sections of downtown. She’s being hospitalised.

The shooting triggered fiery protests in sections of downtown, especially after the police came out saying that gunmen were behind the shooting and not police as was being claimed.
