Westmoreland police seek help identifying woman’s body

WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — The police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the body of a woman that was found yesterday in Whitehall Housing Scheme, Westmoreland.

The police believe that she was in her late twenties or early thirties.

She was of dark complexion, slim build and about 165 centimetres (5 feet 5 inches) tall. The body has several tattoos and was clad in a grey pullover and camouflage pants.

Residents reportedly saw the woman’s body hanging by the neck in an unfinished section of a house about 7:00 am and summoned the police.

When the lawmen visited the scene, the body was cut down and removed to the morgue.

Investigators have so far gleaned that the woman was known by residents as ‘Flowers’. They are treating the incident as a suicide pending the outcome of the post-mortem.
