Jack Radics—-TOURING can take a toll on artists and musicians, even those who are used to the grind of being on the road.
Singer Jack Radics is familiar with that scenario. He lets it all out on his new song, Way Too Long.
Radics (born Jordan Bailey) says the song was written over 15 years ago when he was “missing Jamaica a lot”. He was in New Zealand, away from Jamaica for more than 16 weeks when the yearning for ‘yard’ hit home.
“It was a kind of nostalgic vibe where New Zealand offered some similar attractions but I wanted the white sand beach,” he told Splash.
Way Too Long is released on the Channel 21 label. It is from Radics’ album of the same name which is scheduled to be released in March.
The album, according to Radics, will be a mix of lovers rock and roots-reggae. Other tracks are The Other Side, The Truth (with deejay Haskelly) and The Hour Glass.

Radics recorded several hit songs during the 1990s including a cover of Bob Andy’s Unchained and the Isley Brothers’ Twist and Shout.
Produced by Sly and Robbie, the latter, done with Chaka Demus and Pliers, was a big hit in the United Kingdom.
Radics has written songs for other artists including Intoxication and Jah Loving is Superior, recorded by German singer Gentleman.
