Police renew appeal for information on whereabouts of ‘Tuggi Tuggi’

St Mary police have renewed their appeal for information leading to the capture of a prison escapee who is alleged to have murdered two adults and an eight-month-old baby girl almost a year ago.

The man is 29-year-old Charles Hamilton, aka ‘Tuggi Tuggi’.

The police, in its recent appeal, said that Hamilton is about 5 ft 7 inches tall and medium built, with dark complexion and partially bald head; and has brown eyes, broad base nose, thick lips, an oval shaped face, small ears, and scars on his forehead and left elbow.

Hamilton is wanted for the triple murder in Annotto Bay, St Mary that occurred on Thursday, September 8, 2016.

Those killed are: 62-year-old labourer Albert Pryce, otherwise called ‘Ali’ of Annotto Bay, St. Mary, 25-year-old Rushell Williams, bartender and her daughter, eight-month-old Aleair Sewell of Swift River, Portland.

It was reported that on that Thursday, at Love Lane on Fort George Road in Annotto Bay, the police found the bodies of the three in a house with multiple gunshot wounds, after explosions were heard earlier that morning.

Weeks after the murder, the man who escaped from the Islington lock-up in August, Charles Hamilton was listed as a suspect.

Hamilton is also wanted for the offence of escaping the custody of the Islington police, on August 11.

Hamilton was awaiting sentencing on September 15, 2016 in the Home Circuit Court on a charge of shooting with intent after he was found guilty in the St Mary Circuit Court in July.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Charles Hamilton should contact the nearest police station.
