A man has been taken into the custody of the police in Falmouth, Trelawny, following the death of a female sex worker who was reportedly struck on the head with a golf club in the town centre on Tuesday night.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been ascertained.
Reports are that about 11:00 p.m., two sex workers had a dispute in the town, and a man intervened.
A golf club was brought into play, and was reportedly used to strike one of the feuding women on the head.
She was taken to hospital, where she died while undergoing treatment.
The Falmouth police are investigating the incident.
