KINGSTON, Jamaica — One police officer has been confirmed dead by the Corporate Communications Unit.
Reports reaching OBSERVER ONLINE are that the police officer was injured in an attack by gunmen on Wellington Street in downtown Kingston, a short while ago.
The police officer was reportedly among a team of lawmen patrolling the area when they were attacked.
He was pronounced dead at hospital.
This officer’s death comes days after a woman constable was killed while travelling on a bus along Spanish Town Road.
