A policeman is now behind bars after he was reportedly found in possession of $95,000 believed to be stolen from premises in Lacovia, St Elizabeth, on Thursday.
The St Elizabeth police report that about 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, they went to apprehend a man for whom an arrest warrant was issued at New Alley lane, in Lacovia.
During the operation, the accused man’s house was searched and he was apprehended. About 300 pounds of ganja was seized and the cash went missing.
When the operation ended the cop was searched by a police Sergeant and the cash was reportedly found hidden his bulletproof vest.
The name of the police constable involved has not been released.
